Free First Fridays at the Cranbrook Institute of Science [3]

MASCO Corporation Foundation sponsors this event, which gives families the chance to visit the museum at no cost. There are fees for planetarium and bat shows.

Wixom Holiday Markt at Sibley Sqaure Park [4]

Experience all the sights, sounds and smells of an old-world market. There are crafts, strolling carolers and more – plus kids can visit with Santa.

Novi Equestrian Expo at the Suburban Collection Showplace [5]

Hometown Holiday in Downtown Chelsea [6]

It’s year 30 of this annual holiday shebang in Chelsea, which features a tree lighting, gingerbread house decorating, a carol concert and more.

Birmingham Winter Markt in Shain Park [7]

European food and drink, handcrafted gifs, horse-drawn carriage rides and more are in store in downtown Birmingham this weekend.

Heritage Holidays at the Wolcott Mill Metropark Historic Center [8]

The park is transformed into a holiday wonderland with lights and vintage displays. Santa will be there, too.

Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village [9]

Greenfield Village’s annual event features live caroling, light displays, horse-drawn carriage rides and more for families.

Trolley rides, carolers, a petting zoo, parade, visits with Santa and more is in store for families in downtown Berkley.

Holly Dickens Festival [12]

The fun kicked off last weekend – and continues till Dec. 11. Year 43 features Dickens characters, a lighted parade, carriage rides and more.
